Diving

Diving in Costa Rica is a different experience in comparison from other traditional destinations due to the vast quantity of plankton and other organisms found in marine waters.

In the Pacific Ocean, there's biodiversity that you won't find in any place. The water's visibility ranges from 30% up to 100%, and the temperature is 80F° on average.

For the experienced and fanatic ones of marine life, this area offers great opportunities to swim alongside whale sharks, bull sharks, turtles, and many others.

The view under the sea is filled with cliffs, canyons, and tunnels that are visited by the most adventurous divers from around the globe.

The best months to dive are the ones part of the rainy season, from May to October. In November, is also a good month to dive since the climate conditions are calm. You can also dive from December to April.

The most highly recommended areas to dive are: Playas del Coco, Islas Catalinas, Isla Murciélago, Playa Ocotal, Playa Conchal, Tamarindo, and Sámara.
