Tamarindo and surroundings in Guanacaste

Tamarindo is a long beach of golden sand and long, powerful waves.

It is also a fun town that revolves around surfing, where surfers, local families and many "tourists who stayed to live" have shaped a village with colorful and lively roads.

“Tama” offers excellent hotels and services, as well as a very active nightlife, which has made it the center of action for night owls from nearby coastal communities as Flamingo, Conchal, Potrero or Brasilito.

Tamarindo, along with Playa Grande and Ventanas form Tamarindo Bay. Tamarindo is a beautiful beach that features rocky areas and an island at the southern end. It features lush vegetation: rosy trumpet tree, tamarind and coconut trees.

Tamarindo offers excellent and varied services that allow you to enjoy the sea during the day and have fun at night.

This beach is ideal for relaxation, hiking and horseback riding, as well as sport fishing and diving, visits to the mangrove swamp and observation nesting leatherback turtles.

From this bay and to the south the most important surfing coastal area is located.

This beach has been certified with the Ecologic Blue Flag, which identifies it as a safe and clean beach.
