Luperon Supermarket was born in Coco Beach on a summer morning in 1985, with an inherited inventory of under 600 USD, an old scale and a clunky fridge. The place in front of the soccer field was less than 550 square feet, and although short on space, Maritza and Luis were not short on grit and determination: They deemed that little place was enough to begin working on a dream: A life dedicated to commerce and service.
When Luperon started, Coco was a very small and sleepy town made of fishermen. Although it was a small business in a tiny town, Maritza and Luis knew that the residents, travelers and new comers appreciated Luperon’s taste for better products and services. Business grew and the need for improvement relocated Luperon to its current place in 2001.
Today, the spirit of courtesy and quality remains intact. Lending our hand to our community is still central to our mission. Service, Quality and Tradition are our values, the same values we inherited from our grandparents.
We are a family business, a mom and pop store, with a long history in town and a vision for the future of Coco Beach.
